Transportation and traveling in Montengro by bus is very
popular and not expensive. A single bus ticket from Herceg Novi
to Budva is just 4.00 Euro.
The buses do have air condition and you can catch up a bus-liner day over to Kotor, Budva, Perast or Tivat, every 30 minutes.

There is an Express Bus Schedule Service twice time a day
departing from the main bus station in Herceg Novi.
The bus stops also at Cilipi Airport in Dubrovnik (Croatia).

Travel time ca. 60 Minutes - you need a valid passport
to cross the border.

Croatia does not require a Visa for Europeans any more and border

Foreign citizens can bring into Montenegro an unlimited amount of foreign currency which has to be declared when entering the country.

You are allowed to take out of Montenegro foreign
currencies amounting to not more than 1 000 € unless you have declared more money at customs entering Montenegro.

The official currency in Montenegro is the Euro (EUR) (€)
as a means of payment in its territory.

  • 1 EUR = 100 cents
  • Coins: 5, 10, 20, 50 cents, 1 and 2 €
  • Banknotes: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 €

The exchange of other foreign currencies is carried out at
the counters of business banks and currency exchange offices.

Currencies (US $, Euros and others) can be exchanged at
banks, exchange offices, post offices and mostly at tourist agencies,
hotels or camping grounds.

  • Saturdays banks are open until 1 p.m.
