General Contract Conditions for hiring a Rental Car in Montenegro

The hirer will pay the costs of repairing the damage to the vehicle if there is something left in the car and the car is broken into. The hirer is informed that any personal object left inside of the car is not insured. Incorrect Fuel It is the responsibility of the hirer to make sure the correct fuel is deposited into the vehicle, if not the hirer shall pay any costs incurred to repair the vehicle. Negligence The hirer is responsible for damages to the rental vehicle if it’s caused by negligence by the hirer or driver of the vehicle. This includes driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Accidents In the event of an accident or breakdown involving your vehicle, you have to notify the company immediately. Driving restrictions The car cannot be taken abroad, the insurance only covers mainland Montenegro. Driving Licence The hirer must have held a full driving licence with more than 3 years experience, from the date of hire, unless previously arranged with Rent A Car. Documents Required To drive a Rent-A-Car you must provide at the time of hire, an original full valid driving licence and passport. Cover and insurance Our prices include a car insurance policy with unlimited public liability. Loss of keys, being towed, punctures, damage to hubs and tyres, garage stays, fines, damage to low parts and interior of the vehicle and chance breakdown are not included in the price. Roadside assistance Rent-A-Car provides you with a contact telephone number through which we can help you reach your holiday destination, our branches and to resolve any unforeseen occurrence that may crop up during your stay with us.
General Contract Conditions Car Rental Tivat / Podgorica Airport Conditions. Next we detail you the general rental conditions for hiring at the Pdgorica Aerodrome Airport. If you have any doubt, please contact Rent A Car . All the prices detailed in the following conditions have V.A.T. included (Insurance excluded).
1. All inclusive rates. With RENT A CAR you will avoid the hidden costs when picking up the car. What you see is what you pay. Our prices include: * All taxes included: V.A.T., airport taxes and car park expenses * Unlimited mileage (also including vehicles with more than 5 seats) * Free additional second driver * Comprehensive insurance with excess * 24h. on road assistance * No cancellation fees 2. Free airport service. At the Podgroica and Tivat Airport, airport services are free. Our representatives will be waiting for you at the meeting point (the exact place will appear in your booking confirmation), making this delivery method quicker and without any other additional cost for you. Pick ups at night (from 20.00 p.m. to 9.00 a.m.) are only available for bookings at the airports. They have an extra charge of 15€, having to pay it in advance. The drop offs are free of charge. 3. Fuel. Fuel is not included in the rental price. The vehicle will be delivered half tank of fuel which will be paid at the moment of the delivery. The price of the half tank will vary between 25€ and 70€ depending on the vehicle model rented. We inform you that Rent A Car does not use the fuel for earning money, but because we use the “half-empty” policy in order to offer customers a better service and does not oblige himself/ herself to go to the nearest petrol station before delivering the vehicle. Fuel rests will not be refunded. The vehicle must be returned with as minimum quantity of fuel in the tank as possible. 4. Payment method. The payment has to be made only and exclusively by means of a credit card (VISA, Mastercard or similar) in advance. The charge of the informed sum will be made in a term of max. 48 hours from the moment you gave your card details and chosen for the way of payment "pay with credit card". The credit card holder has to be present at the moment of the car collection for the car to be delivered. Remember that for bookings through Internet, RENT A CAR uses a secure server, so your details are sent through a safe way by Internet. 5. Accessories. Apart from your vehicle, you can book with us: * baby seats (from 0 to 9 months) * child seats (from 9 months to 2 years) * booster seats (from 2 to 13 years) * GPS (multilingual– voice and visual-) The price is 2€ per accessory/day for the seats and 5€/day for the GPS. 6. Standards for child's safety seats and booster seats. The child's safety seat (suitable from 9 months to 2 years old children), booster seats (for 2 to 13 years old children)and baby seats offered with the hired car, are quality approved and correspond to European standards. RENT A CAR offers the possibility to rent these accessories, but will in no case agree to install them in the car. The client alone takes care of the installation and and is solely responsible for the correct fastening and the possible consequences. In case of doubts RENT A CAR is offering an instruction. 7. Insurance. The price of the rental includes a comprehensive insurance with excess, damages to third parties, limited civil responsibility, driver and occupants insurance, coverage against theft and fire. The comprehensive insurance's amount varies from the model the rental car is associated with and is as follows: The insurance of the vehicle does not cover: * Flat tires * Damages in wheels, tyres or lower parts of the vehicle * Damages caused to third parties or to the vehicle because of negligence or reckless driving * Improper refuelling * Loss or damage of the car keys or of the remote control * Vehicle robbery when ignition key is on * Burns, spots or damages inside the vehicle * Personal objects inside the vehicle * Any other additional cost due to a breakdown of the vehicle in no fortuitous means: towing, transport, allowances, other rental vehicle… (these expenses are included if you have contracted a fully comprehensive insurance without excess) * Damages or situations caused by driving under alcohol and/or drug effects 8.Breakdowns and accidents. RENT A CAR will give you the rental vehicle completely clean and checked-out (working, engine, tyres…) and with all the necessary documents. In case of breakdown or accident when a RENT A CAR vehicle is involved, you should contact the Malaga office as soon as possible (in a maximum term of 24 hours). All the information needed will be provided at the rental contract. Remember that in case of accident, it is very important to fill in the accident report (which will be delivered together with all the vehicle documents), and to deliver a signed copy of the implicated drivers in any of our offices before 24 hours. 9. Requirements. The minimum and maximum ages for renting a car in RENT A CAR are 23 and 75 years respectively, with a minimum of 1 years experience. For vans 25 years old and a minimum of 2 years experience are required. If you do not accomplish any of these requirements, please contact us. The driver or drivers must have a valid driving license, presenting the original document (photocopies will not be accepted) at the moment of collecting the vehicle. Original N.I.E. or passport so as a credit card is also required at the moment of collecting the vehicle. Please remember that we will not be able to deliver your car in case of not having credit card. 10. It is absolutely forbidden to transport animals or goods that can damage, deteriorate or spoil the vehicle. Do not forget to respect the road traffic regulations. You will be responsible for any fine or traffic offence to the vehicle hirer during the rental period. 11. Changes, cancellations and extensions. You can change or cancel your booking without any cost if you inform us in a minimum term of 48h. in advance before the pick up or the drop off of the vehicle.In case of extension when having the car, please contact directly the Podgorica office. Will the car not be collected at the agreed time and place without previous notification, it will be assumed as a cancellation of your booking. In that case, we are able to discount up to 10% of the booking amount ( as transportation and expense allowance). Are you continuing to RENT A CAR with us, you must adjust to office hours and staff availability. 12. Money refunds. If RENT A CAR has to refund you a fixed amount of money, you have the possibility to credit it to your customer’s account (for the next reservation) or to let us place the balance on your credit card account with a maximum charge of 10€. 13. Bookings. The minimum period to rent a vehicle is 72 hrs (the minimum amount you would pay in case of applying for a rental of less than 72 hrs is the equivalent to 3 days). Because of variations of the vehicle fleet, RENT A CAR can not guarantee you that the model of vehicle you have chosen is the one that you will collect. Nevertheless, you will always receive as minimum a same category model and, in case of not having that kind of vehicle, we will deliver you a vehicle from a superior category without any additional charge.
